Imaging uses various techniques, in a non-invasive way, to gather information on the anatomic structures and organs of the patient’s body. It is used to figure out the causes of an illness or injury, confirm a diagnosis, or perform interventional treatments.

Diagnoses issues in the abdomen, brain, chest, extremities, head, pelvis, spine, and is used for stroke exams.

Fluoroscopy
Fluoroscopy is a type of imaging showing a continuous X-ray image on a monitor, much like an X-ray movie. During a fluoroscopy procedure, an X-ray beam passes through the body, allowing our provider to observe the movement of a body part, an instrument, or contrast agent (“X-ray dye”).
Uses of flouorscopy include:
- Arthrogram joint injections
- Therapeutic “steroid” joint injections
- Joint aspirations
- Barium studies
- Myelography
- Urography and others….

Bone Mineral Density (DEXA)
The most accurate test to diagnose osteoporosis. Determines if there is normal or low bone density and uses a low radiation dose.
